Offer

I once told a man I knew all life had to offer.
The sound of laughter has never hurt so bad.
It stung with the pain of a fresh knife wound.

He completed my every thought.
If ever there was perfection on Earth it was him.
Crashing to the ground.

I told him I knew all about life.
He laughed in my face
and then proved me wrong.

With my heart in his hands he ran.
Crushing it and burning it's existence.
Humanity didn't exist any more.

I thought I knew all life had to offer.
Now I don't think it can offer anything.

We Know of This

Jump and feel the pull,
Strong gravity grips.
We're all waiting.

Learn the lesson,
Bring us your winnings.
Live in our minds only.

Follow my heart,
the leaves are back.
We can't let you go.

Keep this necklace,
Cherish our trinket.
Don't leave our sight.

Make me happy,
Lace your fingers in mine.
We're going to treat you right.
